What are the pricing and guest capacity rules at Maison Cador? The villa comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests across its 4 premium bedrooms. Our pricing features a standard base rate for up to 4 guests, with an additional charge of €40 per person, per night for the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th guests.
What is your cancellation policy? We offer a 100% refund for cancellations made at least 30 days before arrival, plus a 24-hour grace period for a full refund immediately after booking. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.
When is my final balance due? A 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining 50% balance is automatically collected 30 days before arrival.
What are the minimum stay requirements? During peak summer (July–August), we typically require a 5-night minimum stay. That said, if you spot a shorter gap of availability between two bookings, do get in touch — we're happy to see if we can fit you in. In September, a 2-night minimum applies. For the rest of the year, a 3-night minimum stay applies.
What is the "Taxe de Séjour"? This is a local tourist tax required by French law. As a classified 4-star property, the rate is a fixed €2.64 per adult, per night. Children under 18 are exempt.
Is a security deposit required? No security deposit is held for your stay.
Is smoking allowed at the property? Maison Cador is a smoke-free property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the house or on any of the terraces.
Can we host a party or event at the property? Maison Cador is a private family home and isn't suitable for parties or events. We ask guests to keep noise to a minimum in the evenings, particularly on the upper terrace, out of respect for our neighbours.
Is the property officially rated? Yes. Maison Cador is an officially classified 4-star "Étoiles de France" residence (N°: CU2411-02465), guaranteeing a high standard of comfort, equipment, and service. We've also held Airbnb Superhost status since 2020.
Is the pool private? Absolutely. While the house sits in the heart of the village, the pool and its three terraces are entirely private and for the exclusive use of our guests. Many villas advertised as "Bédoin" are actually located outside the village itself — Maison Cador is one of the very few properties with a pool in the heart of the old village.
How many bathrooms are there? There's a main en suite bathroom off the Disco room with a large shower, toilet, and sink, recently renovated. There's also a separate W/C with sink off the dining room, and a family bathroom with a bath and sink shared by the Église and Ventoux rooms, with a separate toilet next door. For post-bike or post-swim rinses, there's an additional shower and toilet in the utility room downstairs.
Is there air conditioning? The Disco room has air conditioning, though the other rooms don't. The house stays comfortable with strategically closed shutters during the heat of the day, fans provided in every room, and a Dyson cooling unit based in the Ventoux room that can be moved around as needed. And of course, the pool is always there for a proper cool-down.
Are towels and linens provided? Yes — bed linens, bath towels, and pool towels are all included. We also leave a few starter items to help you settle in: olive oil, coffee pods, and dishwasher/washing machine pods.
Is the property suitable for infants, young toddlers, or guests with mobility issues? The house's historic character includes stairs down to the pool and up to the top bedroom, so it isn't ideally suited to infants, very young toddlers, or guests with mobility limitations.
Are you experienced hosts? We've been proud Airbnb Superhost ambassadors for years, having welcomed dozens of groups to Maison Cador since 2019. Our global background — having lived in Canada, the UK, Venezuela, and across Africa — helps us meet the expectations of international travelers.
Are pets welcome at Maison Cador? Yes! As dog owners ourselves, we're happy to welcome well-behaved dogs. We charge a flat fee of €75 per dog, per stay to ensure the house is professionally deep-cleaned for the next guests. Please select the "Pets" option when booking.
How close are you to the Mont Ventoux climb? For our cycling guests, we're ideally located just 300m from the official start line of the legendary Bédoin ascent.
Is there secure storage for bikes? Yes — a pro-level cycling hub: a fully equipped, secure bike room for maintenance and storage.
What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in is from 3:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. This window allows our professional cleaning team to maintain our 4-star standards between guests.
Can we arrange a late check-out or early check-in? This may be possible depending on the bookings before and after your stay, and a fee applies. Please just ask and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Is there parking? Parking on Montée de l'Eglise is managed via the Easypark app rather than being free — we'd recommend downloading it in advance, as it's the go-to system used almost everywhere locally. One space, about 10 metres from the house, is reserved for disabled access.
How do we get there by train? The nearest train station is in Carpentras, which connects directly to Avignon's TGV services for onward travel.
Is there high-speed internet? Yes, the house has high-speed fiber WiFi — perfect for remote work in our dedicated workspace or streaming on the smart TVs.
